Robert “Bob” Johnson (Retired Navy Vet)

Robert “Bob” Johnson, 80, of Boise, died Tuesday, November 29, 2022.

Bob was born on April 22, 1942 in Rio Tinto, Nevada.

Bob joined the Navy in 1959. He remained in the Navy until he retired in January 1980 after twenty years.

He married Patricia “Pat” Allred, May 4, 1963 in Boise. They were married almost 60 years.

Bob enjoyed fishing, camping, golf and most definitely playing cards.

Bob is survived by his wife, Pat Johnson, of Boise, Daughter Sheri Benson, of Boise, two granddaughters, Laurie McCombs, of Nampa, and Ashley Benson, of Boise, two great-grandsons, Logan Sievers and Kameron Brown (4) of Boise, two brothers, Floyd Johnson of Idaho City, and David Johnson, of Oregon, Step-sister Nancy Wilson of Boise, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Debbie Golling, of Boise.

Viewing will be held at 10 a.m. and the service at 11 a.m. on December 22, 2022 at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel on 5400 W Fairview Ave, Boise. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Horizon Hospice and Samaritan Health for the wonderful care they gave to Bob.
