Robert Clair Crandall was born May19, 1947 to Raymond & Esther Crandall. He was born in Newark Valley, New York at home. Bob lived his life chasing adventures. He was the strongest man with the softest, biggest heart. That heart showed true when Bob met the love of his life, Maxine V Northup and weeks later they were married on May 20, 1967. Together they had 3 children, Teresa, Bobbi and Aaron. Marty and Bob had a beautiful connection like the kind you hear about in fairytales. Together they worked wonders, especially running their successful business in Alaska named Crandalls Window Coverings. The business did great, but Alaska wasn’t home, so they moved back to Boise to be with family. In his spare time Bob enjoyed racing at Firebird and helping family with home repairs. Watching over and caring for his family always came first to Bob and when he lost his son, Aaron, on Mar. 21, 2014 it left the Crandall family so heartbroken. Marty and Bob and the family had done what they could to get through the heartache. Marty’s health declined quickly and Apr. 22, 2016, Marty went to be with her son, Aaron. At the end Bob loved talking on the phone and was constantly saying how it would ring and upon answering there was no one there. He would laugh and say its Momma calling and after saying that the phone would ring again! Bob finally answered Marty’s call and went to be with her, the love of his life of 50 years, and his beautiful son, Aaron on January 2, 2018.
Bob Crandall is so missed and dearly loved by so many, his sister, Nina Crandall and brother, Sunny Crandall (Sandra). Bob always adored Marty’s family, especially her brothers, Rick and Sam Northup. Bob enjoyed watching them race at Firebird or hearing their adventures in towing (All American Towing). He is also survived by Marty’s sisters; Evelyn Hurlbut, Patricia Williams-Owens and Pam Northup and brother; Sunny Northup (Pat). His three daughters; Teresa Armenta (Brian), and their daughter, Allyzen, and daughter, Bobbi Fackrell (JD), and children, Jenavy, Kenzy, Mallarey, Jaaryn, Kayden, Deedrey, Chloey, Destyn, and Sherri Pierce (Aaron) and children, Ashlee, Hailey, and Mitch; and numerous nephews and nieces; and his best friends, Steve and Sharon Viera. Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Marty Crandall and son, Aaron.
