Ron was born on March 2, 1915 in Emmett, Idaho to Claude & Sylvia Ramey. During and after World War I he lived in California. When he was nine years old he moved with his father to McCall, Idaho where he lived until he was 15 and then moved to Nez Perce, Idaho where he graduated from high school in 1933. He was in the Civilian Conservation Corporation before going to work in Grangeville, Idaho. He met his life long companion, Marcella Caldwell, and the love of his life, on a dare and married her on November 26, 1935. To this union was born a son, Marsh and a daughter, Kay. They were his pride and joy.

He moved to Emmett and was a baker for three years before moving to Boise where he worked for eight years in the Splendid Bakery.

He then went to work at Idaho Power Company in 1974 where he worked for 31 years until he retired. He was General Stores Supervisor at the time of his retirement in 1977.

He held no high positions or belonged to any lodge or organizations. He tried to be fair to all who knew him. Ron raised his family the best he knew how, loved them and was faithful to his loving wife and to the Lord who he served and knew as his personal Savior.

He attended Whitney Methodist Church for many years before going to the Second Baptist Church.

He enjoyed oil painting and the many years of building their cabin in the gold mining town of Centerville, Idaho.
