Roselyn L. “Rosy”
Birch, 86, of Boise, Idaho passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at her home with
loved ones by her side.
Rosy was born to
Hugh and Mary Snodgrass on July 4, 1928 in Three Forks, Montana, the youngest
of three daughters.
She was raised in
Star, Idaho and graduated from Star High School in 1945.
In 1946 Rosy married Walter E. “Gene”
Birch.
Together they raised three
children, Jerry L. (Linda), James E. (Helen), and Carla Jo Birch.
Rosy worked at various jobs as a bookkeeper
and retired late in life.
She loved her square
dancing friends and enjoyed lots of fun-filled times with them.
One of her greatest joys in life were her
children and grandchildren.
Her six
surviving grandchildren are Debbie (Mitch) Miller, Nampa, Tara (Korey) Howell,
Nampa, David (Amy) Birch, Kuna, Tiffany (Jason) Hollingshead, Meridian, Lisa
Baughman, Meridian, and Bobbie (Kim) Perry, Boise.
She was also so proud of her 17
great-grandchildren as well, who loved her beyond measure.
Rosy’s love for
Silver Creek Plunge, camping in the mountains of Idaho, playing cards, and
reading were the simple pleasures in her life.
Red was her favorite color….
She was a devoted
wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many.
Rosy is survived by
her husband, Gene Birch;
sons, Jerry and
Jim Birch;
and daughter, Carla Jo Birch
all of Boise, together with their spouses and children;
and a sister, Joyce Bond of CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a
sister, Hughleen Kirk, a grandson, Stacey Baughman, and a great granddaughter,
Emma Birch.
We love and miss YOU
MOM…Grandma Rosy! You’re free to SOAR with the Angels
out of pain and suffering.
Don’t forget to watch over ALL of us who are
left behind on earth.

Her memorial
Farewell (Graveside Service) will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2015 at
Star Cemetery.
There will be a
visitation for family and friends on Sunday, May 3
rd
from 4:00 p.m.
until 6:00 p.m. at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
