Roselyn L. “Rosy” Birch

Rosy was born to Hugh and Mary Snodgrass on July 4, 1928 in Three Forks, Montana, the youngest of three daughters.

She was raised in Star, Idaho and graduated from Star High School in 1945. In 1946 Rosy married Walter E. “Gene” Birch. Together they raised three children, Jerry L. (Linda), James E. (Helen), and Carla Jo Birch. Rosy worked at various jobs as a bookkeeper and retired late in life.

She loved her square dancing friends and enjoyed lots of fun-filled times with them. One of her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. Rosy’s love for Silver Creek Plunge, camping in the mountains of Idaho, playing cards, and reading were the simple pleasures in her life. Red was her favorite color….

She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many.

Rosy is survived by her husband, Gene Birch; sons, Jerry and Jim Birch; and daughter, Carla Jo Birch all of Boise, together with their spouses and children; and a sister, Joyce Bond of CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Hughleen Kirk, a grandson, Stacey Baughman, and a great granddaughter, Emma Birch.
