Shannon Fesler, 40, of Boise, passed away on June
20, 2012, in a local hospital. A service will be held on Tuesday, June 26,
2012, at 11 a.m., at the Goddard L.D.S. Chapel, 8620 Goddard St., Boise, with
Bishop Von K. Sorenson presiding.
Shannon
was born on September 18, 1971 in Boise, to Norman Browning and Linda
Youngstrom Olson.
Words cannot describe how much we
will miss our beloved Shannon. She will be remembered for her sweet soul and
the loving spirit she carried with her throughout her life. Shannon was truly a
miracle baby. She overcame significant physical challenges from birth that
doctors projected would prevent her from doing many things during her life. She
proved their projections to be incorrect. Her first significant achievement was
learning how to walk. With the assistance of her little leg braces, her loving
family and the Elk's Rehabilitation Center, Shannon progressed quickly and
could walk normally without the need for braces. She grew into a young
beautiful woman who we are all so proud of. She dealt with many physical
conditions throughout her entire life that would have driven many people down.
Not Shannon. In light of her ongoing disabilities, she maintained a sweet
positive outlook and love for life.
Shannon was a graduate of Capital High School where she met the
love of her life, Michael Fesler. Shannon and Mike were married on April 28,
1990, in Boise, and enjoyed many years as soul mates. They were inseparable.
Their love for each other grew and they created their own miracle, Kayla Fesler
.
Childbirth
was yet another significant accomplishment that doctors predicted she would
never be able to achieve
.
Kayla would also grow into a young beautiful woman like her
mother. Shannon was recently blessed with a grandson, Zachary. Shannon loved
her grandson with all her heart.
She was also an animal lover
.
She
loved all animals but was particularly fond of cats or as she commonly referred
to them as her kitties; Precious, Facey and Chrisy. She cared for them as if
they were her own children. She loved watching the food network, and Paula Deen
was her favorite! She also enjoyed exchanging movied with her sister, Christie.
Shannon loved family gatherings, especially holding all the babies!
We take comfort that Shannon will no longer be in pain and will
find peace. Shannon knew her time on earth would be somewhat limited compared
to others. She often talked about how she was excited to see her dad in heaven
as well as other family members that have passed on. Thank you Shannon for all
the wonderful memories and showing us all what true love and perseverance
means. We will all miss you so much. Your loving family.
Shannon is survived by her husband Michael Fesler,
