Steve L. Moss
Stephen Lynn Moss passed away June 15, 2010 from an unanticipated heart attack at the age of 53. He was born in Concordia, Kansas on November 23, 1957 to Charles W. and Martha Ann Moss. He moved with his parents and two other brothers to Pocatello, Idaho in 1970. Steve graduated from Highland High School and later received an Associate's degree from Idaho State University. At Highland he participated in wrestling and baseball and with his brothers religiously skied at the then Skyline ski area at every possible chance.
He became proficient in the engineering field as an Electrical and Control System Designer with Williams Energy in Salt Lake and Tulsa. His various talents were with General Electric and Motive Power.
In 1994 he married Cindy Jones and welcomed her son Mason to the family. He and Cindy had two children, Reno 14 and Samantha 5. He cared for and loved them both very much; they were the highlight of his life. He was great at repairing, refurbishing and maintaining his home. He was neat and caring often commented his meticulous Grandmother Moss would probably think “he was keeping things OK".
He leaves his parents, Charles and Martha Moss, one brother David (Joni) and their two sons, Trevor and Tucker of Reno, Nevada. Steve will be reunited with his brother R.J., who passed away in 1989.
Services will be at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, at 10 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2011. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers the family is suggesting donations can be made to the Steve Moss Memorial Fund for Reno and Samantha Moss at any Capital Educators Federal Credit Union locations.
