Steven Michael Hall, 59, Meridian passed away suddenly on December 10, 2016. Steve was born in San Pablo, California on February 28, 1957, to Guy V. and Margie Hall. Steve and his family moved to Twin Falls in 1968.
Steve attended schools in Twin Falls and Boise State University. While attending Boise State, he began working in the vegetable seed business during the summer months and then accepted full-time employment at Rogers Brothers Seed Company in Idaho Falls. Steve worked in Idaho Falls for several years and then was transferred to the Rogers facility in Nampa, where he worked for many years. In 2006, Steve started Idaho Seed Production, Inc. where his vast knowledge of the seed industry and relationship with growers provided him the ability to work with his great friends while building a company he was so proud of.
While Steve was living in Idaho Falls he met Julie Brown in their apartment laundry room. Some could say it was love at first sight as they were married within a year after that meeting. When Steve was transferred to the Nampa facility he and Julie chose to live in Meridian where they have lived throughout their marriage. They have two children, Nate and Alysia. In May 2016, Steve and Julie became grandparents to Brock de Vries the “cutest boy in the world.”
Steve is survived by his wife, Julie Hall of Meridian, children Nate Hall of Boise, Alysia (Stefan) de Vries of Eagle, grandson Brock; brother Dave (Marilyn) Hall of Gilbert, Arizona; nieces Michelle (TJ and sons) Chacon of Gilbert, Arizona; Melissa (Andrei and sons) Rudyi of Boise; mother-in-law Lorraine Brown; brother-in-laws Scott (Janie) Brown and family; Rod (Pam) Brown of Star and family; Derek (Dawn) Brown of Port Angeles, Washington, numerous cousins, and innumerable friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Margie Hall; brother, Terry Hall; and father-in-law, Keith Brown.
Funeral arrangements: there will be a viewing at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel, 5400 Fairview Ave in Boise on Thursday, December 15 from 4 to 8 pm. The funeral will be held on Friday, December 16 at 12:00 (noon) at the Lakeview Bible Church, 1010 West Greenhurst Road in Nampa.
