Teresa Margaret Thomsen
Teresa Margaret Thomsen was born 10-11-1920 to Ed and Clara
(Swisher) Maher. She was raised on a cattle ranch near Jordan Valley, Oregon
along with her four siblings; Olive Harrison, Wm. (Bill) Maher, Ellyn Gates,
and Marjorie Cartwright.
She married Merrill (Bob) Thomsen in Seattle on 1

They lived in Spokane and raised three children. She is remembered warmly by
her sons and daughter and their families: Terry Thomsen, his wife Laura Davis,
his children Quinn and Cleveland Thomsen, their mother Lila Lee Thomsen and
Teresa’s great granddaughter Lila Grace Thomsen; Barbara Peterson and her
daughters, Jennifer and Amy Peterson; Harley Thomsen and his wife Gloria, their
daughter Morgan and her siblings, Andrew Imada (Peg) and Adrianne Franklin
(Nic) and their families.
In 1976, she returned to Bo

se
to be near her family.
Mom was a devout Catholic and a member of St
.
Mary’s
Church in Boise. Mom could build just about anything and was especially adept
at upholstery and quilting. She was a great Mom and good friend to all who knew
her
.

A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 21,
2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Boise. Services are under the direction of
the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
