Terrance
(Terry) Michael Burckhard passed away Feb 28th at his home in Boise, ID at the
age of 60. He was born Jan 31, 1955 to Joseph (Bill) & Josephine Burckhard
in Devils Lake, ND where he was reared and educated. He graduated from Devils
Lake High School in 1973. He completed a vocational education program for a
Highway Engineer Aide in 1976 from the Lake Region Junior College and went on
to work for the ND Highway Department until he moved to Boise, ID in 1980. He
worked for IECO/MK, International Engineering Inc, and Porters Land Surveying
Inc.
Terry
loved life, loved to fish, hunt and was an avid sports fan. He took part in
many leagues such as pool, horseshoes, softball, golf and loved to go out and
shoot guns with friends. For other pastimes, Terry enjoyed crossword puzzles
and Sudoku. He was a loving, devoted friend, uncle, brother and father figure
to many. His smile, laughter, wit, and brutal honesty is what made his soul
beautiful. There was not an animal he didn't love or a child he couldn't make
smile. He will be missed by many.
Terry
is survived by his three sisters, Jackie Stromberg, Barb Herda, Bonnie (Lee)
Labarre, one brother Bruce (Pat) Burckhard, sister-in-law Marilyn Burckhard and
11 nieces and nephews, Andrea Stromberg, Zac Stromberg, Heather Leith, Matt
Herda, Amy Miller, Andy Burckhard, Brooke Viere, Jeb LaBarre, Kelly Anderson,
Kristi Ziegler, Kevin Burckhard.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother John
Burckhard and brother-in-law Tom Herda.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, March
10th, at 7pm, at the Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel.
