Theodore Anthony
Karras ("Ted", or "Teddy" to his mother) was born Dec 29,
1946 to James A Karras and Christine J Karras at St Lukes Hospital in Boise,
ID. Ted passed away May 23, 2017 at the age of 70. He attended Garfield
Elementary and East Junior High, graduating from Boise High School in 1965.
Following graduation, Ted served as a mechanic in the US Army during the Korean
Conflict. Ted married Marilyn Johnson in 1968, and they welcomed daughter
Katrina Lee, aka "Beans", in 1970. From that moment on, she was the
light of Ted's life. Ted worked as a mechanic at Bob Rice Ford before moving to
UPS as a Boise-area driver, later relocating to Oregon and Kentucky after being
promoted to management. Upon returning to Boise, Ted was employed by FedEx
until his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved motor sports
and photography, and was very clever when it came to repairs or fabrication. He
enjoyed skiing, cooking, and no one escaped his constant teasing. Ted was known
for having a great sense of humor which he shared with his many friends. In
2010, Ted married Elaine Daughenbaugh. During their marriage, Ted and Elaine
traveled extensively and shared many adventures. Ted especially enjoyed
visiting Greece, his father's country of birth. He is survived by his dear wife
Elaine, beloved daughter Katrina and son-in-law Chris Peterson of Charlotte,
NC, his cherished grandchildren Karras and Landry, and sister Merrily Mosman
and brother-in-law Bill Mosman of Garden Valley, ID. He was preceded in death
by his parents and first wife Marilyn. He will be missed.
