Born
April 16, 1975, died tragically and prematurely May 31, 2012.
Anyone who knew Troy knew him to be the kindest and
gentlest soul. He lived his life to the fullest, touching everyone he met. He
was a natural protector and was always ready to assist anyone in need, whether
it was a homeless person, an injured animal, or someone stranded on the road.
His love for people and nature always shone through.
Troy was born and raised in Boise, Idaho where he
developed his great love of the outdoors. He lived for camping, hiking,
fishing, or just sitting watching a lightning storm or the sunset. He
appreciated the beauty of all that surrounded him. No matter where he found
himself, he always felt that Idaho was home, with a view of his beloved
Sawtooths and a hike to a beautiful high mountain lake never more than a short
drive away.
In 1998, he celebrated the birth of his son, Takoda Wayne.
He eventually moved to Seattle to be close to his sister and family in 2003,
their bond undeniable to everyone who knew them. He soon met the love of
his life and married in 2008. He became a husband and a father to cherished
sons, Will and Jack. His sons, Will (14), Takoda (13) and Jack (7) were
everything to him. He was a wonderful
father who enjoyed nothing more than playing with his boys in the mountains,
teaching them how to fish and how to drive, playing ball and helping them to
grow into loving men someday. Troy was a devoted and fun-loving uncle to his
three nieces, Amanda, Paige, and Madison, taking them on so many of their
life’s adventures, whether it be hiking to a waterfall, jumping off a bridge,
or telling scary stories around the campfire.
Troy will leave a void which can never be filled and will
be missed more than words could ever convey by his wife Shannon, sons Will,
Takoda, and Jack, father Wayne Epperley, sisters Sherry Skinner and Jamie Fait,
nieces Amanda, Paige, and Madison Skinner, grandmother Barbara Flores, Uncles
Robert, Bill, and Steve Flores, extended family, and many, many people who were
lucky enough to call him friend.
Troy’s family welcomes anyone who wishes to share in the
celebration of his life and the honoring of his loving spirit to attend a
memorial service Saturday, June 9 at 3:00 PM at Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel
5400 Fairview Avenue, Boise ID 83706.
