Walstra, 99, of Boise, died Friday, March 4, 2016 in a Boise care facility.
Private
inurnment will be held in Morris Hill Cemetery under the direction of the
Alden-Waggoner Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Virginia was born
to Paul and Gertrude Peters on September 19

Idaho. She graduated from
Boise High School in 1934 and at

She met her husband Walter G. Walstra through

and Eldon Leightner

She played tennis all

ith Walter and they

1937. Walter was an electrical
engineer for Idaho Power and they lived for twent

years at Twin Falls
and then
transferred to
Pocatello for five years before moving back to Boise
.
Walter was the Division
Superintendent for Idaho Power until he retired.

daughters graduated from school

Riding the Eurorail in Europe and the train across Canada
brought her great joy. She was a proud member of the Kiwanis and the Happy Hoo

ers. Virginia volunteered

her church, Collister School, and the 4

Mary's Church for many years and then

during her time at Valley View. Her favorite
