William (Bill) L Weitensteiner, 84, died October 25, 2011
surrounded by his family. Bill was born
November 10, 1926 to Wolfgang and Marie Weitensteiner. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War
II in the Pacific Theater. He was the
first travel agent in the Boise area and was constantly concerned with
providing the best service possible for his clients.
An avid traveler he had an insatiable appetite for
knowledge. You would constantly catch
him reading a new book or catching up on current events in his daily newspaper
or magazine. He was also known to play a
mean game of bridge with his partner and wife Barbara.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John R
Weitensteiner. Surviving relatives are
his wife Barbara, his children and spouses; Anne and Ed Franks, Paul and Ariel
Weitensteiner, Beth Weitensteiner, John and Jeannette Weitensteiner, Jean
Weitensteiner and Tammy and Mark Masarik and 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great
Grandchildren.
Services are to be held at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, October
28, 2011, St. Mark’s Catholic Church preceded by a Rosary the evening of
October 27, 2011. A private committal service
with naval honors will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
