Wirt Edmonds Jr., passed away in his home in Meridian, Idaho on June 27, 2022 at 87 years of age. He was born in Starkville, MS, on June 15, 1935. Wirt is survived by his wife of 67 years, Fran Edmonds, and their children, Wirt Robert Edmonds of Caldwell, ID, Rosalyn Edmonds of Meridian, ID, and Patti Simon, married to Greg Simon, of Huntsville, AL. Wirt has nine grandchildren, Mindy, Bobby, Donnie, Chad, Shain, Marty, Tony, Rosalyn, and Kimberlyn. He has 13 great grandchildren, Jasmine, Janessa, Anthony Robert, Elisha, Emily Rise, Bobby Lee, Scotland, Drayden, Chandra, Jayden, Christian, Faith, Iyla, and Mia. He also has 5 great great grandchildren, Murphy, Jalea, Joel, Anthony Zane, and Aaliyah. Wirt has 4 siblings, Earl, Martin, Felix, Lydia, Dawn, Joe, and Mona. Wirt moved to Boise in 1955 after attending International Bible College in San Antonio, TX. He was a faithful member of City Hope Church (formerly Central Assembly of God) for 51 years. For 10 years, he built missionary homes, Bible schools, and churches in Japan. Wirt worked as a building contractor and developer in the Treasure Valley, Guatemala, and Alabama. Viewing is Friday July 1 from 4:00-6:00PM at Alden-Waggoner (5400 W Fairview Ave, Boise, ID 83706), and the memorial service is Saturday, July 2 at 1:00PM at City Hope Church (8650 W Fairview Ave, Boise, ID 83704).
